![]() 12 Tigers Represented Pacific as Academic All-Big West Conference Athletes During the Winter |

Irvine, Calif. - The Big West conference has announced that 85 student-athletes from nine member institutions across the Big West conference have earned Academic All-Big West honors while participating in either basketball or swimming this winter. Of the 85 student-athletes, 12 of the honorees represented the Tigers.
Chad Troyer (Seattle, Wash.) was the sole recipient of the award from the Pacific men's basketball team, while Ariell Heacox (San Diego, Calif.), Jenny Lewis (Hesperia, Calif.), and Kellyn Loehr (Grass Valley, Calif.) were all recipients of the award from the Pacific women's swimming team.
The men's swimming team also had eight student-athletes that received the award. Athletes earning the academic honor from the men's swimming team were Kyle Accornero (Livermore, Calif.), Justin Canty (El Cajon, Calif.), Chris Chapman (Redmond, Wash.), Matt Lundy (Lafayette, Colo.), Craig Norman (King City, Calif.), Dave Platow (Westport, Conn.), Stephen Quinn (Livermore, Calif.), and Krzysztof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland).
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, student-athletes have to maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, have attained a sophomore standing academically and competed in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
