Fall 2005 (Senior): Sigurdsson's senior tournament season was cut short due to a foot injury as he was 2-2 in singles play and 1-2 with two doubles partners. Prior to his injury, Arnar upset Wake Forest's Todd Paul, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 at the Polo Ralph Lauren Men's All-American Championships on Oct. 6. At the time of the match, Todd Paul was ranked No. 11 in the country.
Spring 2005 (Junior):Arnar was almost unbeatable in his junior dual match season, finishing with a 21-2 record. He was named the Big West Player of the Year and was a first team All-Big West Conference selection as a singles and doubles player for the third consecutive year. Arnar and doubles partner Vladimir Zdravkovic were 16-5 at the No. 1 doubles position. Arnar was a seven-time Big West Conference Player of the Week in 2005.
Fall 2004 (Junior): Sigurdsson finished his fall season with two tournament wins, to go along with one semifinal and one quarterfinal appearance. After winning the Pacific Tigers Fall Invitational, Sigurdsson went on to win the Santa Clara Bronco Fall Classic, defeating two nationally-ranked players in the process. In addition to his singles title, Arnar teamed up with Vladimir Zdravkovic to advance to the doubles final, where the duo fell to a team from UNLV. After his wins in the first two tournaments of the fall season, Sigurdsson also had strong showings in two high-caliber tournaments late in the fall. At the ITA Regionals at Cal, he advanced to the quarterfinals, where he fell to Matt Loucks from the University of Portland. In the beginning of November, he entered the Southern California Intercollegiate Championships in Los Angeles as the No. 6 seed in singles and advanced to the semifinals against Alabama's top player, Luigi D'Agord. After a hard-fought match, Sigurdsson fell in three sets, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. The loss ended Arnar's fall season with a singles record of 13-2, which earned him a No. 71 ITA national singles ranking prior to the spring.
Spring 2004 (Sophomore): Sigurdsson earned All-Big West Conference First Team recognition in both singles and doubles action for the second consecutive season. He was 19-2 for the Tigers at the No. 2 singles position and teamed with Lennart Maack and Tyler Black for a combined 14-3 mark in doubles. Arnar won 19 of 20 singles matches from Feb. 19-25, including a 6-0, 6-3 victory over No. 62 Stephen Rozek of No. 29 Virginia. Sigurdsson was honored as an ITA Scholar-Athlete All-American following the completion of the academic year.
Fall 2003 (Sophomore): Sigurdsson was 10-3 in singles action and teamed with two partners for a 6-3 mark in doubles play. At the season-opening Pacific Fall Invitational, he and Lennart Maack claimed the Doubles Flight A championship with an 8-0 victory over Sacramento State's tandem of Matt Jones and Joakim Rydberg in the title match. Individually, Arnar advanced to the Singles Flight A final at the Pacific Fall Invitational, before falling in a third-set tie-breaker. Sigurdsson was one of two Tigers to advance to the Singles Round of 16 at the prestigious ITA Regionals. He closed out the fall season with three singles victories at the Cal Poly Invitational.
Spring 2003 (Freshman): Sigurdsson earned All-Big West Conference First Team recognition in both singles and doubles action as a freshman. He was 9-5 for the Tigers at the No. 1 singles position and was 14-7 overall in dual match singles action. In doubles, Arnar teamed with Maack for a 16-6 combined record at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions.
Fall 2002 (Freshman): Sigurdsson posted a 5-1 singles record. He advanced to the semifinals of the Bulldog Classic, before falling to Fresno State's Hector Almada in straight sets (7-5, 6-3). In doubles action, Arnar paired with Vincent Kubler to post a 2-1 mark. The duo advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Bulldog Classic.
Davis Cup: Sigurdsson helped his native country of Iceland to a fifth place team finish in Euro/African Zone Group III competition of the 2004 Davis Cup Feb. 2-8. He earned singles and doubles victories to lead Iceland to team victories over both Andorra and Cyprus. Also a member of Iceland's Davis Cup team in 2003, Sigurdsson led the squad to a perfect 4-0 record and first place team finish in Group IV competition. With its first place team finish in Group IV play in 2003, Iceland was promoted to Group III for the 2004 event.
High School: Sigurdsson attended Kopavogi High School in Kopavogur, Iceland.
Personal: Arnar Sigurdsson was born, in Reykjavik, Iceland. Arnar is the son of Sigurdur Thoresteinsson and Sigurborg Sigurdathoffir and has two siblings, his sister Sigurlaug (21) and his brother Elvas Pall II (15). Arnar was a member of Iceland's 18 and under national soccer team. In his fourth year at Pacific, Arnar is a biology major with a pre-med interest.
