Seppanen Closes Out Career With All-MPSF Selection

Woodland, Calif.- The Pacific men's volleyball team and head coach Joe Wortmann received exciting news on Friday, April 18th, as senior outside hitter Pekka Seppanen (Kuopio, Finland) was named to the 2008 All-MPSF Honorable Mention team.
Seppanen receieved All-MPSF Honorable Mention honors last season as well for his break out season with the Tigers.
In 2008 Seppanen led Pacific with 423 kills on 961 attempts, and 36 service aces. He finished second on the team in digs with 215, and second with a 2.13 digs per game average.
Nationally, Seppanen finished 18th in kills per game with 4.08, and 17th with .385 aces per game.
Pekka ends his Pacific career with his name littered throughout the record books. He finishes Third All-Time in career kills with 1,187 kills, and Third All-Time in career attempts with 2,612. Seppanen also finishes Third All-Time on the career service aces list with 102, and Fifth All-Time on the career digs list with 611.
"Pekka is a great guy, excellent volleyball player, and a fantastic student" said Wortmann, "I am glad to see that his efforts are being recognized by the coaches in the MPSF."
