Tigers Turn Out Strong Performance at Sacramento State Spring Tournament

Sacramento, Calif.- The Pacific women's volleyball team turned out a strong performance on Saturday April 19th at the Sacramento State University Spring Tournament. The team went 6-2 on the day, facing tough competitors throughout the day.
Playing without three of their biggest hitters, Pacific came out firing to start the tournament. With Kara Uhl (Cypress, Calif.) and Svenja Engelhardt (Sinsheim, Germany) playing in a Big West Conference beach tournament in southern California, and Meagan MimMack (Upland, Calif.) out with an injury, the Tigers had to play with a modified lineup for the day.
The Tigers finished 6-2 on the day, defeating UC Davis 25-18, 25-16; Santa Clara University 25-23, 25-23; and University of San Francisco 25-21, 25-20. The only two losses for Pacific came at the hands of the Cal Bears who beat the Tigers in straight games 25-18 and 25-16.
Pacific was led by Mallori Gibson (Bakersfield, Calif.) who hit for a.320 hitting percentage on the day, and totaled a team leading 14 kills against USF.
